Our science topic for this half term is living things and their habitats. There are some good resources that can be found at https://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/tp-sc-050-planit-science-year-2-living-things-and-their-habitats-unit-pack or on the BBC bitesize website here https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zx882hv

RE - Thanksgiving
Ask the children to talk about their own experience and feelings about thanking others and being thanked themselves.
Discuss what we may be thankful for in school, at home, in the neighbourhood and how we give thanks.
Learning Focus 1: Recall ‘The Last Supper’
Discuss what is happening in the above picture.
This is why, ever since then, Jesus’ friends have met together to celebrate the Eucharist in thanksgiving as they remember him and do again what he told them to do. Another name for the celebration of the Eucharist is Mass.
What do we call this special meal?
Who did Jesus give thanks to?
What did he do?
What did he say about the bread and wine?
What did he ask his friends to do?
How do you think the friends of Jesus felt?
After discussing these questions the children can then write how disciples felt at different points.
